Monthly membership selections

Membership records include the provider subscription and payment references, verified billing periods, monthly selection allowance, selected recording references and download grants. We use these records to prevent duplicate benefits, show your remaining selections, preserve recordings you chose after cancellation and resolve payment or download disputes. Your account export includes your membership and selection history. These records do not authorize marketing or sharing with advertisers. We do not store payment card details.

Information we use

Registration collects an email address, public nickname, salted password hash, verification status, policy acceptance and optional marketing choice. We do not store your password in readable form. Account security records include active sessions, device descriptions, sign-in events, token expiry and keyed connection hashes. Server logs may record IP addresses and requested URLs for operation and security. Do not include private information in a nickname or public chat message.

Why we use it

We use this information to verify accounts, provide free listening and member chat, enforce generation limits, verify subscriber benefits, preserve recording ownership and recover access. An account requires an email you control; optional marketing consent is separate and is not required for free access. We do not sell your email address or personal account information or share it for third-party targeted advertising.

Email delivery

Resend processes the recipient address and message content needed to deliver verification, recovery and security emails. Email links contain single-use, expiring codes. Account preferences let you withdraw optional Goodneighbor Blues marketing consent. Security and service messages may still be necessary. Marketing campaigns are not automatically started by registration.

Cookies and local storage

Essential cookies maintain the website session, signed-in account and temporary lyric-draft access. A remembered login lasts at most 30 days and expires after inactivity; you can revoke devices from your account. No third-party advertising trackers are installed by this account system. Your public nickname may be saved locally in your browser.

Video player and listening preferences

The Videos page loads a YouTube privacy-enhanced player only after you press Play the playlist. YouTube then receives connection and playback information under its own privacy policy. The player can connect to Google services. Radio volume, lyric timing adjustment, and your selected Reading Room chapter are saved in your browser; radio playback intent is kept for the current browser session.

Purchases and membership

We retain order references, purchased recordings, payment status and library entitlements so losing a browser session or canceling a subscription does not erase a verified purchase. Subscriber-only catalog listening depends on an active membership. Admin-granted memberships have an expiry and an audit record. Any future external membership linking will require a separately authorized connection; matching an email alone does not grant a subscription. Purchased and administrator-unlocked recordings can be downloaded from your account. Administrator downloads are available for library management. On-demand catalog listening requires an active subscriber membership or administrator access; owning a recording does not grant that feature. Private receipt links can link an older purchase to a verified account with the same email. Purchases are for personal use; redistribution is not permitted. PayPal processes payments; this site does not collect card details. Contact support for missing, duplicate or failed downloads and refund requests. This does not limit rights under applicable law.

Chat and AI stories

Chat is visible to other signed-in listeners. History is limited to 200 messages and seven days with scheduled cleanup. Reports and temporary posting blocks support moderation. Your AI story is processed by models on this server, not an external AI provider. Generated lyrics and style prompts are private to their creator and temporary, normally retained for up to 24 hours. The Suno link opens a separate service; we do not send your story or draft to Suno. You choose whether to copy your lyrics there. Avoid sensitive personal information.

Retention and your choices

Passwords are hashed; account email payloads are encrypted while queued and removed after successful sending or terminal delivery failure. Expired tokens, sessions and request-limit counters are cleaned up. Account and consent records remain while the account is maintained; transaction and entitlement records may need to remain for purchase access, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Private daily backups rotate through seven snapshots. You can export your account information, withdraw marketing consent, revoke sessions and close your account. Closing disables access and stops optional marketing; it does not itself erase purchase records. Contact us for correction, deletion, restoration or other privacy requests so we can verify ownership and explain any records that must be retained.

Age and changes

Listener accounts are for adults 18 and older. If we learn an account violates that requirement, access may be disabled. We will disclose material changes to this notice and obtain additional permission when required before a new use of personal information.
